Gigs & Orders
A gig is a fixed-price service offered by an expert. When you engage one, Zorrooo creates an order that you and the expert work through together, from payment to delivery to your final acceptance.
Ordering a gig
- Open the gig and review the price, what's included, and the delivery time.
- Click Continue to start your order. You can add a short note and attach files for the expert.
- Review the order summary: the price excluding tax, any referral discount, VAT, any referral credits you choose to apply, and the total including tax.
- Enter your card details and click Pay. Your payment is processed securely.
:::note Free and fully-covered orders If the gig is free, or your referral credits cover the full amount, there's no card step: the order is created right away. :::
After payment, the expert has 24 hours to accept the contract and start the work.
Discounts and credits at checkout
- Referral discount: if you arrived through someone's referral link, you get 5% off (excluding VAT). It's applied automatically.
- Referral credits: if you've earned credits, you can apply them at checkout to reduce the total, partly or fully.
:::note One discount per purchase A purchase uses either a referral discount or a promo code, not both. :::
Order acceptance by the expert
When you order a gig directly, the expert has 24 hours to accept and start the work. This window ensures they are available before your payment is committed to the contract. If the expert does not accept within this window, the order is cancelled and you are fully refunded.
Tracking your order
Each order has its own page with a live status, a chat with the expert, and any files exchanged. An order moves through these stages:
- Awaiting acceptance: the expert has 24 hours to accept and start.
- In progress: the expert is working; you'll see a countdown to the delivery deadline.
- Delivered: the expert has submitted the work and you have 48 hours to review and validate.
- Completed: you accepted the delivery (or the 48-hour window passed), and the order is done.
You can also request a revision if the delivery isn't right, which sends it back to the expert.
How delivery works
When the expert considers their work done:
- They click Mark as delivered on the order page.
- A window opens: they can write a summary message and attach a file (document, report, etc.).
- They submit the delivery. You immediately receive a notification.
- You have 48 hours to review the work and click Accept delivery.
- If you don't act within that window, the order is automatically marked as completed and the funds are released to the expert.
If the delivered work doesn't match what was expected, use Request a revision to send the case back to the expert with your comments.
Deadlines and countdowns
- A delivery countdown shows how long the expert has to deliver your work.
- After delivery, a 48-hour countdown shows how long you have to accept or request a revision.
- If you don't act before the window ends, the order is completed automatically and the expert is paid.
- The expert can ask to extend the delivery deadline; you can accept or decline.
Requesting a refund
If an order is late (the expert missed the delivery deadline), you can ask for a refund.
- Open the order. If it's been late for more than 24 hours, you'll see the option to request a refund.
- Enter a reason and submit.
- Our team reviews the request and the expert is notified.
:::note When refunds apply Refunds are for late orders. One refund request per order, and only after the order has been late for over 24 hours. :::
VAT
When an expert creates or updates a gig, they can specify whether VAT applies and set the rate (e.g. 20%). When VAT is set, it is shown separately in the order summary and appears on the invoice. If no VAT is configured, the displayed price is the final price.
Invoices
Once your payment is confirmed, an invoice is generated for your order. You can download it any time from your order or settings. VAT appears on the invoice when the expert is liable for VAT.
- The expert is paid after both parties validate delivery (or the review window passes), so funds are held by Stripe until the work is done.
- Your payment is processed by Stripe and held for the duration of the contract. It is released to the expert when both parties validate delivery. Zorrooo does not intervene in this transaction.
- You can chat with the expert on the order page at any stage.
